How do you find the distance between 2 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the distance between the points (2, -5) and (-3, 0). This is the question I have, but I don't know how to solve this. How do you find the distance between 2 points? Is there a formula for it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use the distance formula.

\(\sf \Large \color{red}{d = \sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^{2} ~ + ~ (y _{2}-y _{1})^{2}} }\)

Ohh!! Okay :D
