How does the 26 amendment protect citizen rights? Who supported it? Why did they support it? Who did not support it? Why were they against it? When was it introduced? When was it ratified? PLEASE HELP ME :(

"Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age." It protects citizens rights by making sure that they always have the right to vote, at the age of 18. President Dwight D. Eisenhower supported it; not sure why. Not sure when it was introduced. And it was formally adopted on July 1, 1971
