Evaluate –x + (–7.7) for x = 7.8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Substitute 7.8 in for x. -(7.8) + -7.7 = -15.5

So, all you have to do is plug in your values. This question is actually pretty simple. This is how you question looks like:\[-7.8+-7.7\]They put the paranthesis to confuse you. So all you have to do is retrice-7.8 and -7.7, and if you do not know how to add this, it is simple. If they are both the same signs, you ignore the sign and add the numbers and put the sign that the two values used. So it would be -15.5, according to @DSS
