what is the derivative of y=(arctan x)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know differentiation of x^n?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we have to use this formula of differentiation. y=2*(tan inverse x)*(1/(1+x^2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, we are learning about the derivatives of inverses trigonometric functions and need to show our work the answer is in the back of the book and basically looks like your answer. is there more work that could show me how to get to that answer

its jst one or two step problem.and my ans will be in terms of dy/dx i wrote y by mistake.
