i just dont completely understand. these are the story problems.
1. suppose a population of 160 crickets doubles in size every month. the function f(x)=160x2^x give sthe population after x months. how many crickets will be there after 2 years?



2. Suppose and investment of $2,300 doubles in value every decade. the function f(x)=2,300x2^x gives the value of the investment after x decades. How much is the investment worth after 2 decades?

so substitute 2 years or 24 months in for x

and substitute 2 decads in for x on the bottome

For the first problem i did 160x2^2 and got 640 which is a choice on there, then i changed it to 160x2^24 and got 2,684,354,560 which is also a choice.
and for the second problem i did 2300x2^2 and got 9200
