Usually will be the first or second sentence. Read it over a few times and you will get it down pretty easy.

It should be in the middle of the introduction paragraph. Start with the preamble first (1-2 sentences), which should give a broad generalized view on your topic. Then state the author and the title, along with the thesis. The last sentence(s) should list your criteria (the main arguments you'll be using to argue your thesis).
