Which of the following would disappear first if an estuary were destroyed? I think its Algae???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the options? Algae seems like a reasonable answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the options were a.Shellfish b.Whales c.Coral reefs and d. Algae and the correct answer was Shellfish...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you no longer need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That does make sense, since estuaries are coastal. Whales make no sense (way too big to live there), Algae would be damaged but they can live in most marine environments up to a certain depth, and coral reefs are not common in estuaries (to my knowledge)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*sigh* not on this question... Thanks though. :D I really appreciate it all. And I promise to have other questions. :P

Ecology is very vast, but usually straightforward... not my strongest point, but its very relevant!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Neuronerd- It does make sense but I'm not really used to the subject of shellfish and I didn't remember reading anything thing about it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, there's a bunch of knowledge base in ecology, not all of which I am comfortable giving advice in. Hope it helps a bit though!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks. it does. :)
