How do I factor 6x^2 - 5x - 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are two methods that I know of. One is the quadratic equation and the other is factoring by grouping. Which one did you learn in class?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=(-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac})/2a\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so a=6 and b= -5 and c=-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's only if the method of factoring doesn't work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ie the quadratic equation. :D
