What is the value of |x| + y when x = –3 and y = 15? help meh??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so |x| means that the value of x is going to be absolute, this means that what ever sign there is in it ignore it. For this problem you have \[|x|+y\] when x = -3 and y = 15\[|-3| +15= 3+15=18\]

OpenStudy (ciel21):

i gives you medal :D thanks
