A coin is tossed 3 times. The possible outcomes are: HHH, HTH, HHT, HTT, TTT, TTH, THH, THT How do I find the possibilities of each???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the outcome of each of these is equal so what you have to do is divide 100 by 8 and that would be the probability percentage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would think so

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

there are 8 outcomes... P(event) = number of favourable/total number just write them as fractions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats correct... for each of the listed events... as they are equally likely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12.5% for each of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think thats it
