What would you say the minimum age for doing this course is? I'm only 13, even though I have a strong-basis in math.
MIT's courses are geared towards engineering students. The expectation is that you're either ready to, or have had calculus. Age isn't that important. You may also want to check out http://see.stanford.edu Their courses may be better suited to you. They are to me.
If you can learn from it or enjoy it I would say that you are old enough.
Math is a VERY good skill to have for programming, keep at this stuff you'll be very good when it comes job time! I wish I would have had a good background in math before getting into this. You are very smart for starting this early, good for you sir! Let me know if I can help in any way!
Would anyone say that Pre-Calc would be an important aspect to required math in this? I know up to Trigonometry, but not beyond.
