3(y - 5) + 2 = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3y-15+2=5 3y=-20 y=-20/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 15 to each side and subtract 2 from boths sides 2. u r trying to make y by it self that simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did 3(y - 5) + 2 = 5 (-15 + 3y) + = 5 13 + 3y = 5 3y = 5 + 13 3y = 18 y = 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea. your version looks better. i thought mine looked wierd. sorry
