Really struggling on this one problem. I took notes and everything but still don't get it. Hopefully someone can help...

Simplify the difference.
(2w^2-4w-8)-(5w^2+3w-2)

a) 7w^2-w-10
b) 7w^2+7w+6
c) -3w^2-7w-6
d)-3w^2-w-10

First distribute the -1 so that you get\[2w^2-4w-8-5w^2-3w+2\] and then simply combine the coefficients of like variables. So for example, combine 2w^2-5w^2 and -4x - 3w
