So I need help finding the distance between (-4,6) &(8,-12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from -4 to 8 is 12 units right from 6 to -12 is 18 units down by pythagoras the distance is \[\sqrt{12^2+18^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or you can use the distance formula (same thing) \[d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[d=\sqrt{8-(-4))^2+(6-(-12))^2}=\sqrt{12^2+18^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you good from there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you c:
