what is the solution of -x+2/9y=1 and -9x+3y=6 ??? im Confused? :'( hELP!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what you gotta do is solve for one variable at a time, alright so start with x or y first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are they both supposed to have the same solution set?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

multiply both sides of the 1st equation by 9y which gives -x + 2 = 9y which can be written as x + 9y = 2 now you can solve your equations simultaneously...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u have to solve it by simultaneous linear equations then u will get the values of x and y
