pb has endpoints at -2 and 12 what is the coordinate of its midpoint

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

What number is in the middle of -2 and 12? What's (-2 + 12) ÷ 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the parenthasis first. it should be 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the BIDMAS rule which is the order in which you approach the question : bracket, indices, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

....I thought it was PEMDAS,, but what do i know? its 12:26...pooy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the (-2+12) is in brackets therefore you neutralise the values in the brackets to make 10 then divide 10 by 2 to get 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is definitely BIDMAS....btw what grade are you in??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i learned it P-parenthasis E-exponents M-multi D-divis A-additi S-subtr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and dont ask creepy questions ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and wth is an indeci anyway?

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

It should be 5. Also, PEMDAS is more common than BIDMAS, but they mean the same thing. But neither of them take into account that multi and divi are at the same time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i learned what ever came first from left to right when dealing with multi and divis...how are you so functional this late???

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Because it's only 9:30 where I live.

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

The United States

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Still night in WA, just not as late.
