One student designed an experiment with sugar, water, and sand. The steps of the experiment are shown below. Make a thumb size hole at the bottom of an 18 oz styrofoam cup. Roll a piece of paper into a tube and place it in the middle of the cup over the hole. Fill the tube with sugar and surround the tube with sand. Pull out the paper tube slowly from the cup and then dip the cup into a beaker of water. Watch the sugar cubes dissolve in water to form gaps in the sugar layer. The student's experiment demonstrates the formation of a. wells b. geysers c. springs d. sinkhol
This one's tough, for me. But, I'm gonna say that wells isn't right because those are human made. Springs isn't right because that is the surfacing of the groundwater. And I don't think geysers because those are a shooting up of water from the ground... I don't know though... what do you think?
sinkhols is what i originally thought so thank you lol but do you know this oneee? i promise last one heh The pictures below show four Earth features. The four Earth features are formed by the a. movement of groundwater. b. heating of groundwater. c. evaporation of surface water. d. chemical reactions of surface water.
I do! So all those features were either formed by or are groundwater :)
movement or heating though?
Caves don't necessarily have to be formed using hot groundwater, it just need the movement of the water. :)
cx thanks
