Indirect characterization is the process by which the personality of a fictitious character is revealed through the character's speech, actions, appearance, etc.

So in plain English this would mean that it is now where the narrator says "Oh this is Sally and she is blonde", but when you see a girl where soemone tells her "blondie" and says to her "hi sally."  So based on the definition, A or B would not be a right answer.
