given g(x) = 3/(x-2) Why is the range (-infinity, 0) union (0, positive infinity)? I get the answer, but not the concept?

myininaya (myininaya):

Range is basically asking for where does the function exist for the y values.

myininaya (myininaya):

This function will never have y being 0 since the top is always 3. Fractions are only equal to 0 when the numerator is 0.

Oooooooh! I didn't think of that. THANK YOU!

myininaya (myininaya):

NP :)
