Hi, F [g(x)] means substituting g(x) instead of x in f(x) . So before substituting g(x) f(x) is like this ... 3x-4 after substituting g(x) f[g(x)] = 3[g(x) - 4 = x Now u should be able to figure out wt's g(x) is.. Hope this will help ya ...!
