A corporation plans to fill 2 different vice president roles V1 and V2 in two if it's manufacturing plants. Plant A has 9 officers and Plant B has 5 officers. 1. How many ways can these 2 positions be filled if V1 is chosen from plant A and V2 is chosen from plant B (I think the answer is 14) 2. How many ways can the 2 positions be filled if the selection is made without regard to the plant? I just don't quite know where to proceed.
