according to freud, humans have conscious and unconscious mind so sometimes we do things we didn't mean like accidentally saying a secret which you are not supposed to tell (example of unconscious mind)... another good example is when you accidentally break a vase; according to frued, you might have broken the glass on purpose because you hate the person who gave it to you, means its not really an accident, you wanted that to happen because unconsciously you hate the person.
