i could swear i just saw this problem...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like 20 minutes ago what class is this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

statisitcs...lol i think i posted it before but closed it cuz i thought i had the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why isn't it \(4!\times 4!\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(4!\) was to arrange the authors, then each author's books have \(4!\) ways to be arranges so i guess it is \(4!\times 4!\times 4!\times 4!\times 4!\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it multiplied 5 times?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

counting principle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4! ways to arrange the authors then 4! ways to arrange the first author's books 4! ways to arrange second author's books etc counting principle says multiply all these together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i see
