Y=F(X)=15(x-4)^2 Find the two x-intercepts.. I found the first one which is 4 (duh lol) but I can't find the second one.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Why do you think there are two DISTINCT x-intercepts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because my homework online has two boxes for two answers

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

That is a good answer, but it is a bit misleading. (x-4)^2 = (x-4)(x-4) The TWO x-intercepts are BOTH (4,0). Are we SURE we have the right problem statement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. I'm typing it as it exactly says. I don't understand it either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Graph this function and estimate the -intercepts to the nearest tenth. Give your answers in order. THAT'S what it says exactly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. nvm. i just inputted 4 twice.. and it said it was right.. uhh that's so misleading

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Excellent. It took some courage to do that!
