bad math question of the day: what is wrong with this picture? http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/523d0596e4b00182897f25d8-lowcard2-1379730849756-image0064e29d589.jpg

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i am getting 207.846

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am collecting them this one is not quite as bad as this |dw:1379731651761:dw|

OpenStudy (zarkon):

the original looks like a 45 45 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

recent favourite, find the conjugate of the complex number whose real part is \(2\) and whose imaginary part is \(-5i\) who makes this stuff up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, and then we wonder why a student can't draw a decent triangle to solve see stuff like this |dw:1379731774511:dw|

OpenStudy (experimentx):

books never mind the questions. when i was doing geometry in school ... they never scaled up the picture. as result i doubted everything i did.

OpenStudy (zarkon):

...yes, but here they are given the angles. Some care should be given to make the triangle look correct. Otherwise, in addition to possibly confusing a student who is clearly not in a modern geometry class, the question maker just looks dumb.
