any ideas how to start this?
multiply out the brackets first, so: 4(3x+4)+5(x-1)=0 =12x+16+5x-5=0 then, add all the like terms 17x+11=0 then, 17x=-11 x=-11/17
sry but ur incorrect since he never said that 4(3x+4)+5(x-1) was equal to 0
12x+16+5x-5 =17x+11
4(3x+4)+5(x-1) 12x + 16 + 5x - 5 17x + 11 @n9767
