the reason is that you are adding decimals... and showing that there was a value is the 1st position after the 3 sig figures...

But shouldn't we consider the lowest sig fig which is 3

no... you are asked to round to 3 significant figures.. so find the 1st non zero... count 3 digits... look at the next and employ the rule for rounding |dw:1379799551989:dw|
