Help me with Complex Numbers? (Not specific questions, more like an explanation.) Imaginary One is like, i^2=-1; i^3=-i; i^4=1; i^5=i et cetera. Equations involving imaginary numbers however confuse me. Ex. - (a,b)*(x,y) ; { (x,y) : x,y ∈ R } ; 3 + 5i^3 etc.

OpenStudy (hesan):

This is so simple Lets see: Complex number is any no whose root is not poosible i.e i (iota) whose value is (-1)^1/2 lets consider (3 + 2i) in this set 3 is know as real number and 2i is known as imagenary part.

Do u got it
