Let f(x) = 2x -6. Solve f-1(x) when x = 2. Alright so I have: f(x) = 2x - 6 => f-1(x) = x + 6/2 f-1(2) = (2) + 6/2 f-1(2) = 8/2 f-1(2) = 4 Is this the correct answer? I'm not very good at inverse functions.

hartnn (hartnn):

its (x+6)/2 isn't it ?

hartnn (hartnn):

and f^{-1}(2) = 4 is correct :)

Thank you!
