Find the width of a rectangle with a perimeter of 90 and a length of 15.

30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want to know how to do it so if i have a question like this i will know how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so perimeter is width + width + length + length. So two of the lengths will be the same. That means that 90 = Width + Width + 15 + 15. So 90-30 = Width + Width.90-30 is 60. And assuming both the widths are the same, you divide 60 by two, which gives you 30.

thank you! :)
