Why did the Renaissance spark a new interest in exploration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The huge reason for European exploration was the want to enrich the countries doing the exploring. And when the New World had been discovered, getting gold and selling it (To get rich) was the main aim of the explorers. It also of course sparked the gold rush.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So mainly each countries want to be better than another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about wanting more land. Did they wanted more land too or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a way, It wasn't really a competition though, of course. But when it comes to land, It didn't matter how much land you had, It mattered how much gold you had.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And for farmers, How rich the soil was. Same reason people in the south had an agricultural economy compared to the north being industrialized.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand now where you are taking this. Thank you for your help!!! I'll be come a fan and not only that you get a medal. I remember this in class but ended up forgeting. Are you in U.S. History too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, For some reason all History just comes to me. Passed civics and economics with an A last year, Haha. And thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I also love U.S History more than all my other previous history classes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your really into history

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorta :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But everyone different can never be the same. So you are in college, i'm guessing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am actually a junior graduating early this year! Believe it or not. Some how, I have managed to get all my credits by this point in highschool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't do that at my school! Did you want to get those academies classes out of the way? Some schools go every semester like I heard a school that does Algebra, one semester and geomtry the other. I don't know why but its like that. My school for sure does not do that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I actually wish it did. We have the same classes all year long. 6 Classes a day. But for me, I have 7, Since I offered to do an online course. But I got my classes out of the way mainly 8th grade, When I did all 9th grade courses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example, Algebra 1. Most people in that grade are taking pre-algebra or 8th grade level mathematics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The school accepted it that you would take a online course? That is impressive to me. I have never heard that before especially in high school. I heard about it in middle schhol but not high school. Do you go to a private orpublic school?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am taking the online course currently, And I go to a public school, because private is too much $ :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me to I go to a public school. So you been taking online classes since, how long?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Private is too much, your right about that. Very Strict and demanding too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since only about 2 weeks ago. I started this year and got enrollment the weekend before signups ended. That weekend was NOT fun. Haha.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you must like taking online classses? You said you have a totally of 6 or 7 classes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, a normal student has 6 classes, I have 7 (Because the online course adds 1) and yes, Online courses are easier than in school courses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So taking online classes is a option? How are online classes easier? I don't take any and my school would not allow it. I have 8 classes that is why I ask how classes you take.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is an option, only for a limited time though. And you also can't have that class during the day if you want to take it online. I guess it just depends on the school you go to!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THe online class is after school? It's been like that at my school only high school, but middle school is different
