What is the slope of the line that is perpendicular to y=3x-3? 3 -3 -1/3 1/3 What is the slope of the line that is parallel to y=2x-3? 2 -2 -1/2 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the relationship of slopes for perpendicular lines? for parallel lines? y = mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what the slope of \( y=2x-3\) is? if not, let me know and i will tell you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope of that line is 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the relationship of slopes for perpendicular lines? for parallel lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you got this or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parallel lines have the same slope, so since as you said the slope of \(y=2x-3\) is \(2\) a parallel line will also have a slope of \(2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for this one \(y=3x-3\) the slope is \(3\) perpendicular slope is "negative reciprocal" i.e. flip it and put a minus sign in front of it
