What is the equation of the line through points (2, 8) and (3, -2)? Answers: y=-6x+20 y=-10x-28 y=-10x+28 y=1/10x+28

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-10x=28

OpenStudy (aravindg):

How did you get that? I want to make sure you are not guessing from options.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did guess, I have no clue

OpenStudy (aravindg):

I thought so. Dont expect Openstudy to do your work. Involve in the answering process.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Tell me did you find the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Find it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get this problem so I don't know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(y1-y2)/(x1-x2) so (8)-(-2)/(2)-(3) to get the slope (m) of two points then chose one of the coordinates to put into y=mx+b and solve for b. Do this with both coordinates
