Write 4-5 sentences about what the early scientists from Aristotle to Galileo thought about the nature of motion. So far I have this written, According to Aristotle the nature of motion is anything that an object does naturally without being forced. An example would be the sun rising naturally in the east, crossing the sky, and then setting in the west. but i need some help with what Galileo's theory about the nature of motion was.

OpenStudy (fellowroot):

Aristotle would say that an object comes to rest because it got tired. Aristotle came up with ideas, but never tested them. Galileo used experiments and mathematical models to analyze motion. He used a slanted inclined plane an order to slow down the acceleration due to gravity on an object. He found out that an object accelerates as it falls.
