simplify 8p2-6p2

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

\[8p^2 - 6p^2 \]

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

I believe that is your equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

take note that, when we have the same variable we can simply combine the coefficients :)

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

by the way, welcome to open study please do take time to read the code of conduct :) http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the anser

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

What do you think will happen when we combine the two? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12p?

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

we have same variables.. \[p^2\] so we only mind the coefficients ... which is 8 - 6. that would equal to \[2p^2\] :)
