A two mile racetrack is formed by placing two identical semicircle on the opposite ends of a rectangle. write a function for the total area enclosed by the racetrack in terms of the radius,r,r of the semicircle.

Well, implying that it doesn't matter what size the rectangle or the circumference on the circle is as long as they are both congruent. then all we need to do is, as the question states, write a formula which describes the total area inside the "race track"

So we could have something like, X=r(2)*a X= Total area r(2)=Radios times 2 a=Area
