find the volume of frustum of a regular square pyramid if the base edges are 14 cm and 38 cm, and the measure of one of its lateral edges is 24 cm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So Volume of a pyramid = (Area of base x height) / 3 now it's actually a rectangular pyramid (because the base isn't a square) given that the dimensions of the base are 14cm x 38cm So Area of a rectangle = Length x Width = 14 x 38 in this case and you can work out the height using pythagoras theorum so let me know if you get stuck
