For this I always say to people is to see if the two equations are communicating or not. Meaning that when you communicate in equations you are seeing if the equation is written with the same terms even if it is written not exactly the same way. For example we have a*b=b*a. I hope you understand what I mean. However, when you are communicating and you are to find what the property is without any further confusions, what property has the same term as "communicating"?
