Solo and ensemble for like Regionals and All-State? @zfighter212 ? ah I do that on violin myself, I reccomend Symphonie Espagnole by Lalo, or any of the movements for Mendelssohn's Concerto in e minor. Hey and just curious, have you ever played Rachmaninoff's Op. 27 Symphony in e minor? 

Anyhow, those are all my suggestions (except for the Symphony, the rest are applicable) and if you are doing Regionals and All-State, be sure to learn the regionals excerpts well and your scales as well., 4 sharps and 4 flats.

Czardas by the Italian composer Monti is a really beautiful piece. My orchestra teacher is having us memorize this song, but only for the people who want to play the solo.
