Absolutely. Its similar to when any one organization has a monopoly on something. Every media organization has its own agenda, and this affects who they will allow to speak through their medium. If the only outlets were Fox News and and MSNBC the only coverage would be (if we're going with each of these outlets stereotypes) very conservative and progressive. The more media ownership is dispersed the more opportunities there are for information to end up somewhere where it will get attention
