Ok I am still learning how to use this sight so if you have a response to this please send a message to me directly, because I have no clue as to how to look at the responses yet. Ok here is the deal, I had to drop my History 103 class because I could not find a tutor. However, I am better at understanding English, but I still need a tutor. IS ANYONE willing to earn some extra cash by being my tutor for English 101? However, you must prove you have passed with a B or above in English 101, also I am disabled so I can NOT leave my home so you would have to come to me. More info in next post
Ok here is the other important information. I am willing to pay a student who has a “B” or above in a regular English 101 class, $30 an hour for tutoring. However, If you are an honor student who took honors English 101 and PASSED with a “B” or above, I am willing to pay between $50.00 to $70.00 dollars an hour the amount will be based on what grade you received and must show proof of what grade you earned to get top dollar amount. If you are interested PLEASE send me a message, because I do not know how to check the responses yet on here. Tutor needed As soon as possible.

But don’t you guys need the book I am looking at and also know what the prompts says so you know what my professor is expecting of me? See I was run over by a truck and because of that I have to take many medications that cause memory problems and problems concentrating. I sometimes have a hard time understanding things that is why I would prefer someone be at my side physically so they can see where I am struggling and where I do not need help. How does one do that from a chat room? I cannot post any prompts from class that would be a clear violation of my schools rules, something about giving another access to an unauthorized student, they say it is cheating, or something like giving a student an advanced glance. That is why I need someone who has passed the class already that way I cannot be accused of giving an advanced look to an unauthorized student.
Right now I have to write an essay that is at LEAST 1,200 words long. It is a rhetorical analysis of a article called, “Can Service Save Us?” by Klein, Joe Time magazine, however, my book says we can use our own opinions in analyzing the journal or article, however, my professor says I need to “stay out of the fray” Professor Cox, meaning no personal opinions. So how do I do that? I think I am supposed to break down his argument and tear it apart, but I am having trouble finding his thesis, his history is clear as day, but the refutation( I have no clue what that word means to be honest) is hard to find I do not think he gave one. See that is my point, wouldn’t I have to have the person read what I am reading to understand what I mean? Also I learn better by hands on technique.
@Native1queen We don't need your book. You can tell us what book or course you are using, but all you need to do is type your question, with the answer choices if you have any, under the correct tab and we will answer it. :)
No need. You can just post the sentence or page you're having trouble with by typing it out.
See that is the problem I do not have a narrow question, I have a broad one. I have to write a rhetorical analysis of an article that Mr. Joe Klein wrote in Time magazine called, “Can service save us?”. However my book, “everything’s an Argument 6th edition” in chapter six says when doing this kind of essay I need to, “Guess”, “make assumptions” and respond with opinions. However, my professor said and I quote, “Stay out of the fray” basically act like Spock from Star Trek (I say that because the book covers his way of thinking in the book) and not have any personal opinions. She basically wants us to tear his work apart piece by piece, asking, Does this work?”, “How do you THINK his readers will respond?” However, the word THINK basically means, what are your personal opinions? So how do I write an essay answering these questions while, “Staying out of the fray” as my professor says? See this is why I need a place or someone I can show my work to, however, my school does not allow that so I cannot show you my work so far. Meaning you cannot tell me if I am doing it right or not. So back to the question, Can anyone be my PERSONAL tutor?
When I say I am not allowed to show my work, I mean I am not allowed to show my work online, because we use Safe Assign. Safe Assign scans all work on sights like this and checks for plagiarism and if I post my work it will say I plagiarized. Look I need a tutor if no one is willing to come to me, can you at least tell me a web sight where I can hire one please? I know you are trying to help, but I am sorry so far all I learned is how to find the section to respond to the comments, but nothing on how or did I do my essay right.
This is what my Professor just emailed me, "You are going to be challenged by the reading and the writing in this course because 101 is a true university level course. As to the opinions, no, please do not make this an opinion paper. It will cost points if you do because that is not really the point of a rhetorical analysis. Your opinion about the topic of the article is absolutely not needed. Your appraisal of the strengths and strategies of the writer's skill in delivering the article so it is effective is what is needed. That is not an opinion; is is an assessment based on concepts in our text (using Chapters 1-6)." Ann Cox. See what I mean?
