Pls help .... represent √3cos(a) + sine(a) in the form of Rcos[a-b] where R,b are real numbers. hence solve this expression for (a) √3cos^2(a) + (1+√3)sin(a)cos(a) - sin^2(a) - cos(a) + sin(a) = 0 I know that the answer for 1st part is 2cos[a - pi/6] but I cant use it to get the answer for second one...
