why wa sthe battle of Bunker Hill considered a Patriot Victory

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Battle of Bunker Hill is considered a tragic victory for the British due to enormous loss of life for both sides.

I don't know if there is a direct question they want but it shoed to the British that they were up against a formidable enemy. The british sent thousands of men up the will to just be shot down. The patriots saw it as a victory for that reason. But still I wouldn't think patriots saw it as a victory

I think the patriots had to retreat because they literally ran out of ammo...

the british were the ones that considered it a victory though...I don't really understand why they would give that question
