OMG HOW CONFUSING SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASSEEE Suppose {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} A = {1, 3, 5, 7} B= {4,5,6} is A subset B? Is B subset U?
a subset of B - "Does all values of A seen in B"? No b subset of U - "Does all values of B seen in u"?______
Ok this is confusing me so subset a seen in b means they arent there because its what is missing then the set b would be in u because it is in the set
Can someone break this down so I can understand exactly what I am getting confused on?
subset means "is it a part of" so the first ques is A subset B A = {1, 3, 5, 7} B= {4,5,6} so ques is "is A a part o B - that answer is NO since 1 3 5 7 are not in B makes more sense?
If A and B are sets and every element of A is also an element of B, then A is a subset of B
