someone help

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

I don't understand the question. Is U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} What does "A subset B" mean? What does "B subset U" mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are all elements of A also in U? If so it's a subset. etc...

OpenStudy (love10129151):

........

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

In the problem, there is no mention of set U, but below the second question mentions set U. Each question needs to have a verb to make sense. Are you asking if A is a subset of B? And if B is a subset of U?

OpenStudy (love10129151):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[A \subset B \]
