Find dy/dx using implicit differentiation my answer came out to be dy/dx = (y-2)/(9-x) now it wants me to find that same equation but this time (use y as a function of x and then take the derivative)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We don't even know what the original equation is though..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The original equation is 2x + 9y = xy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm, I see, but I don't know how you got what you got from implicit differentiation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyway, solve for \(y\) in the original equation they give and then differentiate.
