The graph of g(x) is f(x) translated to the left 8 units and up 2 units. What is the function rule for g(x) given f(x)=x^2? Please help me understand the problem.

For a function \(f(x)\), you can transform it by: \(f(x-d)+c\). This function will have it's original point, \((0,0)\) to the point \((d,c)\)
