Write the inequality in slope-intercept form: 9x - 3y > 12

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

slope intercept form is y =mx + b -3y > -9x + 12 multiply the inequality by - 1 to make y positive but remember when multiplying/dividing by a negative, the sign changes 3y > 9x - 12 now divide the inequality by 3 to get y by itself y > 3x - 4 any questions ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

oops the sign changes....answer is y < 3x - 4
