While Zeus lay with Metis and Metis did conceive, Zeus ate her whole trying to prevent the birth of a child that would be greater than he (this was a prophasie about Metis), anyway, after getting a headache Athena sprang fully grown from his head. So, depending on which story you like either Metis was mom or No one, she only has a father. Take your pick.
