I need help, I haven't been in school in 30 yrs,i need to write my first assignment, don't know how to start I wrote about the author, don't know how to a introduction and etc.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for help on. I can give you an overview of what an essay is supposed to be. The introduction should have general statements that draw in the reader and give them an idea of what the essay is about. An intro should also have a thesis statement, normally at the end of the introduction paragraph, which tells what you will be talking about in the body. The body of an essay is the meat of the sandwich. It should be very detailed and should correlate with your thesis statement. In the conclusion paragraph, it should wrap up the essay, and restate your thesis. I hope this helped even a little! Good luck!
